I don’t talk like I’m from the Midwest I speak in Broadcast English, ‘cause that’s the sound that pays the best I don’t talk like they do down south I speak in Broadcast English, when I open my mouth I go for proper diction, enunciation, every syllable is clear and clean If you watch anchormen on the 6 o’ clock news then you’ll understand exactly what I mean I can’t be traced to a particular state I speak in Broadcast English when I conjugate I don’t speak with a New England twang I use Broadcast English, communication with a bang I don’t speak with a Southern drawl I use Broadcast English, so I can reach them all I don’t use regional idiom or nasal whine, I’m like the voices on your TV Look up pronunciation in the dictionary and they take their cues from me I got no accent that you’ll be able to detect I speak in Broadcast English, the universal dialect

You’re looking at me and you see right through And let me tell you that’s the right thing to do I’m looking back and I think it’s true You make me swoon and it’s never too soon They say it’s girly, I should keep my cool But when I met you I forgot all the rules It may sound funny but I know it’s true You make me crazy and it’s never too soon I’m not interested in taking it slow Our kids’ names, well I already know You might want to wait until a date or two But I’m way past that it’s never too soon I got a ring and it’s just for you Made reservations for our honeymoon This is something that I’ve just got to do Because you make me want to marry and it’s never too soon I dreamed of you before the day we met Took down my want ad on the Internet I’ve bitten off way more than I can chew You make me smitten and it’s never too soon

I really need a second chance Because the first time all went wrong It's not that I didn't try I just didn't know I didn't know just what I had And that it would go away That it would leave me here Leave me to wonder why Why did I throw away my heart Why did I fail to see the value of what I let fall apart And now you're happy and I'm not And now you've moved along and I'm still stuck on what I haven't got I haven't got a way to move To move past this point in time I really wish I could Though I don't want that at all I don't want to see it end I keep waiting for the time The time when you'll come back Come back and be mine If you were mine I'd change it all I'd make things different so I'd never have to worry when you called Our second chance would make it last You'd have my heart I'd have your heart and I would always hold fast But this is how it's going to stay You and him, me and myself It seems we're strangers now My second chance is gone It's gone away and won't come back I let it pass without a care Before I realized How much I'd miss it I miss it when you were my own But I have to understand that all my chances have been blown It's unfortunate I'll always love you dearly Cause now I need to find a way to live without you near me

Big Bad Book 02:09
