I see a flash in the back of my head

I’m real quick to anger and I’m quick to justice
But I’m slow in finding out what it’s really about
I’ve got a real hair trigger and a rage that’s getting bigger
But I don’t think about it till after I open my mouth

The one who wronged me he apologized
Besides it’s not like he’s really at fault
He’s just a victim of circumstances
He deserves the benefit of the doubt
But all this reason and this logic
It’s flowing right out the side of my head
There’s only one thought that’s sticking to me
It’s the fact that I want someone dead

There’s a simple logical explanation
And they told me but I just don’t understand

I tried classes I tried therapy
Or just breathing slow and counting to ten
But my rage it’s deeply seated
And it targets both women and men
The evidence is largely circumstantial
Never hold up in a court of law
But that don’t matter to a rageaholic
I need justice and I need it raw
